How to select the desired type of compressor

Select if oil-free compressed air is necessary or normal oil-type compressed air is permitted.
One Point of Advice
Oil-free type: Most suitable for food, painting and medicine for which oil is not suitable, various other kinds of applications.
Oil-type: Suitable for air source of general industries

*Select model which has min. control pressure 0.1 0.2 Mpa higher than your operating pressure.

Comfirm air consumption(l/min)of your equipment.
* Air consumption means volume of air delivery per minute.
** Select model which has free air delivery over 10% larger than actual air consumption.
One Point of Advice
About free air delivery:
It is measured according to JISB8341.
This means discharged air volume at operating pressure converted into standard intake condition.
Standard intake condition for JISB8341: Compressor draws air of 20°C, absolute pressure 101.3 kPa (760mmHg), relative humidity 65%.
Tolerance of air consumption in the inspection method is as follows;
Less than 10kW: ±6.0%
Over 10kW to less than 100kW: ±5.0%

Reciprocating
To compress air in compression room by changing its space through reciprocating piston cylinder in cylinder Valve at basic compressor, large torque fluctuation. Large noise & vibration due to low speed rotation.
But, most inexpensive.
Screw
To compress air in screw groove of male/female screw rotors by changing its space. Most prevalent oil type compressor as factory air source, small noise & vibration. Most efficient middle-sized type.
Scroll
To mesh wraps consisting of involute curve which are shifted by 180°C each and compress air in closed space No valve needed, small torque fluctuation. Very low noise vibration. Most efficient in small-sized compressors.

Confirm if it is motor-driven or engine-driven (reciprocating type only).
Confirm voltage, phase and Hz of electric source in case of motor-driven.
One Point of Advice
Electric source in the catalog is standard 3-phase 200V.
In case of single-phase 100V is standard.
In case of different voltage, it is made to order.

How to select capacity of air receiver.
Example: Calculate the necessary capacity of air receiver when air receiver exhausts air of 1m3 for 20 seconds with 1.0MPa pressure at air receiver and air receiver maintains over 0.9MPa pressure.
Temperature conditions are air 30°C in air receiver and 20°C atmospheric temperature.
